It's early, you've been boozing for 3 days straight and your presumably sober friend just drove down the wrong side of a clearly marked street for a good 4 blocks. You need some small batch coffee then a small batch blood transfusion. Enter Luna Cafe. Having the luxury of living a block away from a Colectivo Cafe has made me an insufferable snob. I'm incredibly picky about my coffee and everyone I know wants to stab me in the face. Luna passed the Kyle K test with flying colors. I had the darker of the roasts they had available and it was wonderful. Also had a freaking delicious cinnamon roll that disappeared with disturbing speed. All of the guys in my party had baked goods and raved about them. This is the good stuff, folks.

Cute little coffee shop in quaint de Pere. Love the way the light looks in here in the morning coming through the yellow awnings outside. The bakery is great and they roast their own coffee. There's a small area of items for sale and also art hanging on the walls. Would like to see more art here. Another thing I love about this place are the flowers on the table. They are always changing them and taking good care of them. Great ambiance. Beautiful

Luna is special because it's cozy and the vibe is always upbeat, friendly and casual. I own a business across the street and will come here to do work because I like the atmosphere. I'm not a huge coffee drinker but I love their honey lattes! My husband who is a huge coffee drinker enjoys as well. They have great quiches (portion tends to be small- big eaters beware) and you can't go wrong with one of their toasted wraps. You will see them in the cold case to order and they press it for you. If you are a sweet tooth- they make the best and I mean the BEST cinnamon rolls but you have to get their early in the am or they are gone. And you have to ask them to warm it! It's really amazing! The chocolate covered caramels rock my world sometimes too:) Last, I love kombucha- and like the Tapuat brand they carry (it's local:) My fav is the Bee Power.

One word = Amazing. I spent a whopping 10 minutes inside Luna, and it was enough to make me sad my current town doesn't have something this nifty. In the city, yes, probably. But not in the good ol' burbs. Neat things about Luna: // Their coffee is roasted on site in a pre-WWII German roaster made by the Barth Company of Ludwigsburg // They will give you 50 cents off a pound of coffee for reusing your bag // Locally brewed kombucha available ((lychee peach or pear - YUM)) // Homemade snacks such as cookies, brownies, salads, and wraps // Amazingly attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff // Games and books available so you can sit back, relax, enjoy your drink and chillllllll // Fresh smoothies available // Casual, cafe-esque environment good for going solo or with a small group // They keep your punch card for you, alphabetically in a box by the register Needless to say, my experience at Luna left a lasting impression on me. The coffee was rich and delicious. The kombucha had the slightly vinegar taste, but mostly masked by a sweet apple and pear flavor. The customer service was amazing. The decor and atmosphere was ridiculously chill. What's not to like? Can' t.wait.to .go.back.

With a comfortable atmosphere, great service, and good coffee, Luna earns your patronage. Though the menu is not extensive, there are several options for regular coffee, frappes, and smoothies. If you're into mochas (hot chocolate and espresso), then you'll have a good amount of options for flavor additions. There's also a small selection of baked goods, mainly cookies. On a short stop in during my travels, I got a honey latte and a caramel mocha latte. The honey latte was good, but lacked any strong flavor from both the honey and the espresso. (I was surprised neither jumped out at first taste.) The caramel mocha--called the Carmelo--was delicious. I asked the barista if the caramel would take over the mocha, and she said the shop's hot chocolate was not strong so the caramel would give it a little sweetness. After tasting the weak honey latte, I decided that would be good. The caramel mocha is dessert in a cup. It's served with a kiss of whipped cream on top, which adds to its decadence. If you don't have a sweet tooth like I do, you may want to shy away from this. I enjoyed it, though again, the espresso flavor was not very strong. Once it cooled down a little, you could taste it and the flavored together were yummy. The baristas were extremely kind and helpful in finding the drink you want. They made both of my drinks very well, and the head barista brought each right out to me in the lounge area. I also got a mug, which one of the baristas wrapped up nicely with tissue paper in a bag with the shop's logo on it. Luna has a really relaxed atmosphere with plentiful seating, filled with pillows and comfort. The aromas envelope you, along with sunshine flowing in to the room that has warm yellow walls. You can see the roasters through the back doors, too!! You can even sit at a couple tables on the sidewalk in the warmer weather. A downside is parking, as Luna is situated on an incredibly busy main street. It took me a solid 10 minutes waiting for cars to pass to get to the other side of the street where I found a parking spot. There's no crosswalk in sight from the door. Overall, I really enjoyed my brief stop here. If I lived in the area, I would definitely stop back in to try more!!

Oh luna, I only spent two years living up there, but every time i go back I stop in. I love the river trail cookies, and the fudgsicle and the funky monkey. This place has a unique feel. At times it's full of students, other times full of locals catching up over a non starbucks cup of coffee. All their food items are yummy. And i have never had a bad beverage either. Probably my favorite coffee shop ever. And i would consider myself a coffee shop whore. I have worked for starbucks and loved it, and when I visit towns i seek out small local places, and this place still takes the cake.

I enjoy stopping at Luna when I am in De Pere as it's an excellent Starbucks alternative. Conveniently situated right on Main St, Luna offers a bright but still comfortable coffee shop atmosphere. I'm a latte guy and usually have the sugar free vanilla. Like most coffee shops, their sugar free syrup is limited to just a few flavors. Service is always good and prices are right in line. I did have Sunday breakfast there one time and it was quite good. Enjoy! Update: Went here on a Saturday morning for the first time. BUSY! The line stretched almost to the door. Worth the wait for good coffee. Just wanted you to be aware of the busy times!

Wow. I cannot believe I've lived in De Pere my whole life and have never been here. Right when you walk in the atmosphere is one of welcome. A very homey feel with big comfy chairs and small tables spread out and a long bar to sit with your computer and study for awhile. Then decorations: coffee, coffee and more coffee!! They have their own very large roaster in the back room, which also has seating and the aroma is one of a coffee lovers heaven. Coffee cups line the walls with their roasted beans, along with posters and flyers that give Luna's a very urban feel. A wide variety of coffee drinks, hot and cold, and a wide selection of beans to choose from, and my large coffee with cream and sugar was delish, a perfect strong and smooth flavor. A small menu for eatery, but clearly it's not meant to be a restaurant so there's no problem there. In my experience, sometimes these more hipster places slack on the quality of coffee, but not so with Luna's. I will definitely be back. :)

Great spot to stop and catch up. Very cozy atmosphere, packed with college students, and lots of neat art on the walls. They also sell gifts, food, and other baked goods in addition to coffee. I had the green tea latte, it was frothy, mild, and delicious. The house blend is also very good for the price. It's definitely worth a stop because there really isn't much else like it in the area. On the weekends it's pretty packed!

Quite a find- coffee roasted on site, in a historically preserved building from the turn of the 19th century. Lovely room- old creaky hardwood floors, brick walls, old wooden ceilings, big plate glass windows looking onto Main Street DePere, beautiful brickwork on the outside, all painstakingly preserved. They have won numerous awards for the historically correct preservation of this building. Good feel inside, with couches, tables, and a counter, with lots of space. Nice, high ceilings make this even more spacious. The service is very good. Prices are fair. The espresso is very good, not "oh my God" off the charts, but very good, a solid A-. They also have very good brewed coffee, made individualized via Chemex pour-over, French press, or traditional brew. Where this place shines is the healthy breakfast option, namely oatmeal. Get it plain, or with blueberries, raspberries, craisens, maple syrup, pecans, etc. So good, so healthy.

Coffee was solid, and breakfast bagel sandwich was very good. fresh, tasty ingredients. Didn't blow me away, but I had a very solid experience food and coffee-wise . So based on food and coffee alone. 4 stars out of 5 Only negative was the crowd for me, First, one couple apparently had never been to a coffee shop before, and spent 5-10 minutes asking questions about kinds of coffee while a line of people were rushing to grab a coffee to go during the morning rush before work. Luckily i had the day off . Second, having to listen to 4 soccer moms bloviate about how great their kids are should not be occuring at a college-atmosphere, hip coffee place. Go to Starbucks ladies. It was even more irritating hearing one of the moms have to defend the kids quality of education at "the public" school, to the other 3 parents. To the 3 other parents: You're living in frickin' De Pere! Your private school isn't a gateway to anything better than 10k off at Saint Norbert's across the street. So pull the stick out of your you know what. Obviously I can't lower Luna's rating because of the crowd that day, but when I go there again and I hear/ see similar stuff I'll update my review.

Great Roastery. I have found Luna's Espresso Bean to be superior and equivalent or better to beans I have purchased from many nationally known roasters. The Decaf Espresso Bean is great, and Luna has gotten it right each time I have purchased it, which is outstanding as getting the roast right with decaf is a lot less forgiving. Thanks Mark and staff!!

The cutest local coffee place ever. And I'm from Seattle so that's saying something. Stopped in on a Thursday morning at 9:15 and the line was long - something tells me this place is always busy. I had a ham/sweet potato piece of quiche with a non fat latte and it was delish. Not cheap - at $9 - but very good. The building is historic which is cool. The decor fits perfectly - big cozy leather chairs, tables and chairs, a bar with high chairs. This place is bustling with a wide array of every type of person in Green Bay. It feels like a community meeting where everyone is drinking coffee and socializing. I love this atmosphere and will return often

My daughter and I were in Green Bay for a soccer tournament and we stopped in here after our first game for a bite to eat. We got a lot more than we expected. When you first walk in you are greeted with calming music, and a laid back ambiance. It is a hipster like cafe, with tables, bar chairs, and comfy chairs. The menu boasts the most AMAZING smoothie in the world, the eclipse smoothie. It has blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries, and tastes fresh and wholesome. Along with a large variety of housemade coffees, smoothies, milkshakes, lattes, and other delicious drinks, there is a whole menu of delectable food items. My daughter and I both ordered the granola, which you can get with milk or yogurt with the option of a banana, and it was outstanding! Some other items they make are cinnamon roles, a variety of flavored scones (one of the peanut butter chocolate chip which I had and loved), cookies, breads, and a large array of bagel sandwiches which use very fresh and tasty ingredients. The staff are very friendly, and the cafe has a very relaxed feel. This is no Starbucks, this is so much better. After the first time we kept coming back everyday and it did not disappoint. After 3 times of eating at Luna we can surely say this is one of the best coffee shops we've ever been to. If you are looking for breakfast in the Green Bay Area you must come to Luna, and you will see for yourself how good it is. We just can't say enough about this place!

Luna roasts up some of the best coffee beans I've ever had, if you're looking for a good cup of Joe you will not be disappointed. Luna also does a great job of making it yummy, my favorite is the Honey Latte w/Soy Milk. The smoothies are Amazing (my favorite is Blue Moon) and I cannot go in without having some of the homemade Granola. Even though I live in Chicago and have access to some amazing coffee shops like La Columbe and Intelligentsia, I stick with brewing Luna at home. Delicious. Casual environment. Great place to hangout, mingle and use the free wifi.

I love Luna! Originally from Seattle, it takes a pretty darn good cup of coffee to impress me, but Luna's coffee is that good. Luna is always buzzing with activity and service is always great. Even better, not in the mood for coffee? They sell Hinterland's Luna coffee stout!

This is a really nice, charming space and the coffee is quite good. They roast their own. I noticed they don't have any fair trade or organic beans available. They have cafe miel, which is yummy and served in a glass. I've found the servers to be friendly. I have tried the waffles, which were okay, nothing special. Maybe next time I'll give one of the pastries in the case a try. There's also a display of gifty/home decor items that are really great, tasteful, cute stuff. I wish spots in this area would be open later at night, though! I've been here twice and it seemed quite busy both times. They have live music sometimes, I have to stop by to see a show.

Hands-down the best coffee roaster in the area! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great food and snack selections, and an amazing coffee/tea house ambiance. The owners are usually on premise, and truly the best locally owned cafe in Green Bay!

The rising tide of Starbucks seems to have lifted almost all boats in the ocean of coffee shops, so the rarity of finding acceptable coffee that characterised so much of the US in years past has declined significantly. Finding myself in deepest, coldest Wisconsin in dire need of caffeine I hardly gave a second thought that Luna Coffee would be acceptable. But when the aroma of on-site roasting came through the door I realised that Luna is not the average Coffee shop. This was clinched by one of the best lattes ever (in a huge ceramic cup) and a fantastic sour cherry and cardamom muffin sat at the counter in the very attractive brick walled space. Add in the cheery staff and the every friendly Wisconsin clientele, and Luna Coffee has to be the best breakfast stop in the neck of the woods

A delightful little coffeeshop that also roasts their own beans in the back. My first visit was wonderful--almond joy mocha and a bagel egg sandwich done on a panini grill, both of which were great. The ambiance is wonderful, too: lots of tables and a bar along both sides, mellow artwork and exposed brick, non-offensive music played at a conversational level. Also, a really nice retail selection of coffee gear and accessories, bulk teas (Rishi), and beans (their own). I only wish they were a) down the street from my house b) open later c) served wine and beer by the glass all the time (because sometimes you caffeine just isn't what you're looking for).

Absolutely in love with Luna! This cafe roasts their own beans, bakes everything fresh, lots of seating space, after hours events...basically it has exactly the atmosphere that you look for in a local cafe. Drinks are ALWAYS perfect, the selection is huge, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. I live out of town now, but I was here almost every day when I liked in De Pere. I can even get Luna coffee delivered since they ship their beans! Love this place.

Found myself in Green Bay on a business/pleasure trip. Looked up breakfast and this popped up. Reminds me of the alterra in Milwaukee. But way better! The staff was awesome and very knowledgable about the ingredients (I have food allergies) Ordered blueberry oatmeal with almond milk. Also came with a drizzle of maple syrup. I think I died and went to heaven. It was hands-down the best breakfast I have had in months! Also ordered an almond milk honey latte. Perfection. Seriously. Starbucks, you have nothing on these guys. If I lived here, I'd find a house nearby so I could walk here every day. My only complaint was the bratty kids here. Soccer moms: keep a better eye on your children. Seriously, if they are hopping from table to table, then spilling everywhere, you are making so much more work for the staff! And they are already hard workers! If I am ever in Green Bay, I am making a trip here. Now, I'm off to the counter to buy some of that yummy looking granola!

So many options, so little time. I felt compelled to try the 'regular' coffee, after my bout at Karavina the day before. The hand-made mugs were really unique and made for some nice two-handed coffee drinking / hand warming action. If we'd hung out long enough, we also could have been privy to some live coffee roasting action too. But time was of the essence, and we had just enough of it to sit around sipping and eat a couple of Toby bagel sandwiches. I ordered the southwestern version, and kind of regretted not getting the quiche I saw on a nearby table. The bagels were the best part of the sandwiches, and really would have been good on their own with a schmear. Coffee was another home run and I could have seen myself hanging out here for many more hours. Kudos to this area for their amazing coffee shops.

Love Luna. I live in walking distance and with the weather being nice I'm going to find myself there on numerous occasions in the future. The breakfast wraps are delicious and the whole place smells amazing. Get there early though! It does get packed!

Great breakfast food! I had the Greek Toby bagel and it was a light, tasty way to start the day. Couldn't resist trying a vegan peanut butter rice krispie treat before I left... so glad I did! Only down side was the place was packed!

I love Luna! Originally from Seattle, it takes a pretty darn good cup of coffee to impress me, but Luna's coffee is that good. Luna is always buzzing with activity and service is always great. Even better, not in the mood for coffee? They sell Hinterland's Luna coffee stout!

Been going there since they opened. I don't work by there anymore, but always stop when we're by there

My favorite De Pere hangout. Awesome coffee drinks, friendliest baristas in town, relaxed atmosphere and chill music. A nice place to get your morning coffee, have lunch or spend the day working on your laptop (bonus: free wi-fi!).

Great coffee shop with delicious food, fun drinks and a very casual atmosphere. Very busy on weekend mornings. Rotating selection of breakfast sandwiches (always great), oatmeals and other treats to choose from. Strong coffee and coffee drinks.

What a great little place! Good coffee and lots of healthy choices on the menu. Even gluten free selections for my wife. Very artsy and inviting interior.
